STEM Academy’s music department aims to discover and develop an understanding of the elements of music: melody, harmony, rhythm, timbre, and form. This program enables students to produce technical proficiency and develop not only vocal but also instrumental range, timbre, and productivity through fun and engaged learning opportunities. Through these various opportunities, students enjoy the beauty of various capabilities amongst their designated ensemble. As students begin to hone in on these attributes, they start to develop the concepts and responsibilities of ensemble performance: balance, blend, and intonation; Thus giving students an acquired understanding and desire to perform to the highest level of ability and essential rehearsal habits that will prepare them for the highest level of performance.
