About Principal Ivy Peeples

As a proud East Orange native and graduate of Clifford J. Scott School, now East Orange STEM Academy, it is truly a full-circle moment to return home as Principal. This community helped shape who I am, and I am honored to serve the students, families, and staff of the school that first inspired my love for learning.

With over 20 years in education, I have served as a mathematics and science teacher, assistant principal, principal, and executive district leader. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to one foundational belief: every student deserves to be seen, challenged, supported, and prepared to succeed.

I believe the strongest schools are built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to excellence. My priority is to cultivate an environment where:

• Students feel a deep sense of belonging and empowerment.

• Teachers feel valued, inspired, and supported.

• Families are welcomed as essential partners in our educational mission.
