The East Orange School District proudly welcomed an extraordinary group of young men from Morehouse College, as part of the institution’s inspirational “Get On The Bus” tour.
Morehouse College, widely recognized as one of the nation’s most prestigious Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and one of only four men’s colleges in the United States, continues to inspire through this initiative. “Get On The Bus” under the leadership of Kevin Booker, Vice President of Student Services, Dean of Students, and East Orange native, is a student-led performance that weaves together dramatic monologues and artistic interpretations, showcasing the core values and principles that drive success.
This event marks the third year of a powerful partnership between Morehouse College and the East Orange School District. The program engaged students from Cicely Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts, East Orange Campus High School, and STEM Academy, where the event was hosted.
“We are deeply grateful to Kevin Booker and the young men of Morehouse College for continuously bringing this extraordinary program to our district,” said Dr. Vincent Stallings, Principal of East Orange STEM Academy. “Their presence, passion, and performance inspire our students to envision greater possibilities for their own futures.”
The ongoing collaboration underscores the district’s commitment to exposing students to transformative experiences that highlight higher education, leadership, and cultural pride.
