These courses are designed to introduce basic computer use and operation, as well as the elements and principles of digital design. Students will learn more advanced techniques of photo editing, correcting, retouching, and color adjustments. Students will gain an understanding of the impact of digital editing in the media. Students will have the opportunity to work with computers and a variety of software such as the Adobe Creative Suite and the iLife Suite of products. 


Objectives:

  • To produce original works of art that demonstrate the open ended relationship between the concept and the solution through complex interaction.
  • To develop an understanding of the relationship between the use of tools, techniques, materials and visual statement.
  • To form a valid framework for observing, analyzing, understanding and responding to art: sensory qualities, subject matter and expressive content.
