Middle School & High School Physical Education

Goal: To provide students with the opportunity to acquire skills that will keep them physically fit throughout their life.

Course scription: Physical Education courses provide students with knowledge, experience, and an opportunity to develop skills in more than one of the following sports or activities: team sports, individual/dual sports, recreational sports, and fitness/conditioning activities.

This class is designated to help students develop skills that will keep them physically active through their lifetime. Topics such as fitness, health, and wellness will be discussed. Social skills such as teamwork, leadership, decision-making, and sportsmanship will be emphasized throughout the year. Students will participate in team sports, lifetime leisure activities, and fitness training. Basketball, Badminton, 2 hand touch Football, Fitness, Softball, Kickball, Soccer, Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Volleyball, Handball, Speedball, Track & Field, and Tennis are some of the activities that will be offered to the students.

Middle School & High School Health

Course Description: The Students have one marking period of health in 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 11th, and 12th grade. The Health Education Curriculum stresses positive health practices and a knowledge base on important health topics. 

 Topics covered within Health Education courses may vary widely, but typically include personal health (nutrition, mental health and stress management, drug/alcohol abuse prevention, disease prevention, and first aid) and consumer health issues. The courses may also include brief studies of environmental health, personal development, and/or community resources.

Driver's Education

Course Description: Driver Education prepares second year students (sophomores) for proficiency in vehicular law and the state exam.
